“Ruthie, get your nose out of that book!”

I swear I can still hear my mother hollering at me to quit reading and do something else. To hear her tell it, I was born with a book in my hands. And while I don’t go by “Ruthie” anymore, it’s the name that I think for myself when I’m wandering the bookstores, browsing library shelves, or just plain tripping over the overflowing stacks of books that are taking over my house. :)

Needless to say, I love books. And not just reading them. I love collecting them, talking about them, writing about them. I love the way you can lose yourself in a book and discover worlds that you never knew existed. You can learn, and dream, and indulge your passions with a good book.

There’s nothing I like better on a rainy day than curling up on the couch with a good book and a mug of tea and losing myself in a new adventure.
