BTT – Giving Books as Gifts

Today’s Booking Through Thursday asks:

Do you give books as gifts?
To everyone? Or only to select people?
How do you feel about receiving books as gifts?

I always try to give everyone on my list at least one book as a gift. Books are the one gift in our family of bookworms that is guaranteed to go over well. I especially love the excuse it gives me to spend hours browsing the shelves just to find that one perfect book for each person on my list.

Books are also one of my favourite gifts to receive. It warms my heart when I get a book I’ve been lusting over, to know that the giver paid enough attention to what I said over the past year to put the effort into getting me a) a book I want, and b) one that I haven’t already bought myself. :)
