One of the reasons I really wanted to do a book blog is to be able to participate in all the really cool weekly events. So here’s my very first Friday Finds entry.

These are my best finds of the week:

My Seven Years in Captivity by Bill Seaton. This is a really great memoir about his years as the PR director of the San Diego Zoo.

What Peace There May Be by Susanna Barlow. I’m kinda on a memoir roll these past few weeks. This one caught my interest because she writes about her years growing up in a polygamous family. Given the press this topic has had recently, it’s a great read that from the perspective of the child.

In the fiction department, we have:

Conspirator’s Odyssey: The Evolution of the Patron Saint by A.K. Kuykendall. This is a conspiracy thriller that’s based on actual historical events. The author blends fact and fiction so seamlessly, that I find myself wondering which is which.

Death in Small Doses by Bernard Steele. Another thriller, with a focus on terrorists and those who hunt them down. I’ve always loved stuff like this — Tom Clancy, Vince Flynn, and Daniel Silva are some of my all time faves, so this one seemed like a no-brainer to pick up. It’s definitely living up to my expectations so far.

And last, but definitely not least…

Rescue Me … the latest romance anthology from Cherry Adair, Lora Leigh, and Cindy Gerard. Steamy bedtime reading… what more can I say. :)
